Here is what I have found for this weekend.
I must say that life has been crazy for the past couple of weeks.  I thought this week would slow down, but alas, it has not and I have to find a new normal (which equals a time to exercise and a time to produce the posts that are most helpful to you!) So this weekend I believe there are many (and I do  mean MANY) opportunities for you, but I will highlight  only some of my favorites.

          Fairy Tree House Ages 7 and up, ages 5/6 with Adult
Make a building appointment with Lisa.  Once Fairy house is built, come back for any number of decorating sessions.

Sweater Crafts Workshop
Noon to 5:00 pm (drop in, but allow 1 1/2-2 hours)
For ages 8-adult, 6&7 with helper

   Create an inspired project from felted sweaters:  coasters, mittens, hats, what have you.

Minnesota Center for Book Arts 
Thanksgiving Paper Dinner 
10:00 am- noon
For the entire family  Children must be ages 2 and up
$27-$30 for grown-up/child pair, $14-$15 for additional member
     Celebrate the colors and scents of Thanksgiving by creating paper food: onion skin yellow, cabbage purple, cranberry red, orange orange.  Use real herbs and spices.  Dress for a mess including waterproof shoes--holla galoshes!

Create Your Magical World

For ages 9-12

    A combined experience working with MCBA and The Loft Literacy Center, invent your own characters, worlds, story, and magic.  Then, make a pop-up book that enhances your tale!

Oliver H. Kelley Farm 
Build a Bird Feeder Workshop

$8-$10 for each bird feeder

    Make and complete a bird feeder to take home with directions to mount.

The Landing--Minnesota River Heritage Park 
Veteran's Remembrance Day

   Tour buildings, see military displays, observe Thanksgiving preparations, make a craft, and have refreshments at the Town Hall.  There is a special program at 1:00 featuring Abraham Lincoln reciting the Gettysburg Address as well as other speeches.
